I’ve added a custom Kenco-themed landing checklist to the FlyByWire A380, bringing some extra personality to the approach phase. The checklist now includes a KENCO section with the all-important “READY TO CRASH” reminder, ensuring that expectations are properly set. Additional items like FLT RECORDING: SET and VOLANTA: PRIVATE help keep the inevitable outcome discreet, while ALERTS: PAUSED minimizes distractions. And of course, KENCO BRACE: IN CHAT ensures that viewers are prepared for impact.
This is a simple but fun tweak, and it highlights why open-source flight simulation is so great. FlyByWire’s A380 is fully customizable, making it easy to add personalized checklists, custom procedures, or even just a bit of humor. Whether you’re looking for realism or just embracing the chaos, open-source projects give you the freedom to make the aircraft your own. This build is a beta build, based on FlyByWire A380 v0.13.0, and some features may be unsupported or incomplete. One known issue is that Navigraph charts are missing from the EFB, with an error indicating that a .env file is not found. If you’re testing this, keep in mind that certain functionalities might not work as expected. Please feel free to leave a comment if you have any problems and I will resolve them. If you want this build to be available based on a non beta version of the a380, please also let me know.
